Controller editor maschine mk12/11/2023 Native Instruments has now sent me two emails, Download links for your Native Instruments order. There's also a link somewhere to, which recommends using Native Access to download software. The Maschine Mk1 box comes with installer CDs, but my 2018 Macbook Pro doesn't have an optical drive. I follow these instructions and the LCDs now light up to show that the controller is recognised by the system but Maschine is not running yet. After that, opening the "Controller Editor" software from NI caused the Maschine to light up and it's all systems go :) Then I saw the "System extension blocked" dialog pop up and I allowed the extension. I just downloaded the "MASCHINE Controller Driver 2.8.0 - Mac OS X 10.9 - 10.11" Controller Driver software, even thought I am running MacOS 10.15.7 Catalina:Īfter the install process, it fails as described, but I just rebooted the machine. I got Maschine MK1 Hardware to work with MacOS Catalina (here's how) Thankfully a bit more hunting reveals more useful information. Googling this, I find that the Maschine Mk1 controller is not supported by macOS 10.15 macOS 10.15 (Catalina) - Compatibility with Native Instruments Products I think historically it is supposed to show something even when the Maschine software is not running. Plugging the controller in, there's nothing on its two LCD screens. This works but there's no link to download the Maschine software. ![]() I already have the Native Access download manager installed, to manage the software for my Traktor controllers. I head over to and paste in my transfer ID. The old owner has forwarded Native Instruments' (NI's) reply to his support request to me. Without this step, the Mk1 would just be a glorified MIDI controller. There are compatability issues between Maschine Mk1 and macOS Catalina 10.15.7 Onboarding License TransferĪs this is a second hand product, the old owner has organised a license transfer. I picked up a second hand Maschine Mk1 for a good price. I wanted to open my old Maschine projects created prior to travel in 2015. Kinda like PUSH for Ableton Live.Setup instructions for the Maschine Mk1 controller with Maschine 2 on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 Background It is made specifically to be an extension to the software. Maschine in Maschine mode allows for plugin/sample browsing and VST/VSTi chaining from the controller itself, plus all the sequencing and mixing capabilities of the software. Maschine in MIDI mode is just a simple controller with MIDI assignable knobs, pads and buttons and integrates with the any piece of software in the world like a regular MIDI keyboard with pads would. The Maschine controller has 2 distinct modes of operation. I don't use it to DJ so I put it into MIDI mode and then I can use it with any software. I got it for $50 and used the k'd version to register and it works just fine except I can only be as current as the most recent cracked version of Traktor and can never get my updates from NI itself. ![]() I found a Traktor S4 at the local pawn shop but when I called NI with the serial they said it was still tied to the original owners account and wouldn't be able to activate for my account until he removed it from his. Unless the device has been stolen and/or sold or handed off to an unknowing party who is now trying to sell it. All it would take is logging onto the NI site and clicking the 'Remove' button next the device and application names and he can provide you with the hardware/software and bundled plugins serial in one go. ![]() The fact that he isn't providing any serial is a little worrying. It will work fine with the cracked releases but if the owner is serious about selling all he needs to do is unregister the HARDWARE CONTROLLER and the SOFTWARE APPLICATION from his NI account and you can have a legitimate AND/OR cracked Maschine setup with no worries. This means that you will NEVER be able to legitimately activate the hardware or software and be restricted to used the cracked releases with keygens to activate until he unregisters it from his account. Keep in mind that if the controller is provided without any serials that it is likely still tied to the original owners NI account. You can activate both the hardware and software as well as the entire range of Komplete plugins with the current R2R keygen. *Maschines come with free NI software in the form of Komplete Select/Selection depending on the time of manufacture. There is also a completely different serial for the software that is on the discs and packaging. There is a serial number on a sticker on the back of the controller itself. The Machine hardware and software both have separate serials.
